A Jolt of Energy for The Actors' Post

I recently sat down with Alister Albert, the Founder and Creator of The Actors' Post (TAP), for an insightful interview alongside my production partner Keen "The Mecca" Cotter.

We discussed our musical careers and the rewarding experience of promoting our "Paradise Life" initiative in the UK, where we performed at various venues to share our unique sound and passion for music.

The conversation touched on the ups and downs of our individual journeys, the inspiration behind our collaborative work, and the importance of preserving Saint Lucian culture through our art.

You can check out the embedded video on my website to get an inside look at Keen's and my dynamic partnership and the energy we bring to the stage. I'm confident this feature will provide a jolt of excitement leading up to TAP's website relaunch.

Happy Birthday Shawn!

I’m supposed to be number one on everybody list let see what happens when I no longer exist. Fxck this.

Why Music Publishing is the King of Candy Land

Alright, let's break it down in a way even a 5-year-old can understand:

Imagine you write a song, kind of like drawing a really cool picture. That song is yours—it’s your creation! Now, music publishing is like having a magic friend who helps you show your song to the whole world and makes sure that whenever people use your song, you get your fair share of candy (money, in the grown-up world).

Here’s why music publishing is like a king in the music business:

  1. Every Time Someone Plays Your Song, You Get Candy
If your song plays on the radio, TV, or in a movie, your magic publishing friend makes sure you get candy every time. That’s called a royalty. It’s like getting a treat every time someone enjoys your song.

  2. Even if You’re Sleeping, the Candy Keeps Coming
Once your song is out there, it can keep earning money forever, even if you're not doing anything. Imagine waking up every morning to find more candy on your table—sounds cool, right?

  3. Songs Are Like Golden Treasures
If you own the treasure (your song), people will pay to use it. Music publishing helps protect your treasure and makes sure nobody takes it without asking.

  4. You Can Share Your Song with the Whole World
Music publishers can take your song to big places like movies, commercials, and even video games. That’s like letting everyone see your awesome picture—and paying you for it!

So, in the music business, the person who owns the songs (through music publishing) is like the king or queen of candy land. They keep getting candy while others are working hard to sell albums or play concerts. Owning the song is the best job ever! 😊

Axie Infinity & Charlie Sheen

I'm fascinated by this, i was not aware that AXIE INFINITY was still a thing and out here actively making money for people. Seeing Stallone and Charlene Sheen at NFTLA was weird too.
