Phloting

Last week, I had the privilege of taking a road trip from Brockton, Massachusetts to Brooklyn and then to a mansion in New Jersey called The House. The purpose of this trip was to participate in a songwriting camp hosted by Phlote Dao. The camp was held in a beautiful mansion that had two recording studios, a game room, and even coloring books. Over 20 creatives including singers, songwriters, producers, visual artists and more came together to create an open-source web3 project.

For the next 36 hours, we created music non-stop in a wide array of genres, vocal styles, tempos and moods. The levels of experience varied but the talent was undeniable. Every room was overwhelmingly filled with creative energy, and even the meals that were made had a touch of class. I made my contribution by bringing along my unique vibe and artistic versatility, floating from rap to dancehall to RnB to more than 6 records.

I was also tasked by TeamPhlote to bring the seamoss soap, which I did, and I also brought the sea vegetable seamoss itself and made some gel for the gang to enough and keep the immunity high. The final song I recorded on Sunday morning was a collaboration between my friend Ricky Felix and I for a song called Misery. I can say I'm certainly grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to more creative projects in the future.
